First, we\u2019ll review what research tells us is \u201cnormal\u201d for toddlers so that our expectations are realistic and discuss why attention is necessary to help toddlers learn the language. When a toddler has difficulty attending, we must find ways to help them. In the show we discussed strategies to help busy kids showdown so that they are ready to listen and learn, disengaged kids rev up so that they can listen and learn, and kids who are \u201cstuck\u201d move on so that they can listen and learn.
